Cinnamon: Diabetes Evidence, Species Differences & Safety
Cinnamon sounds simple until you ask which species, which plant part, what dose, and what outcome was studied.
What the evidence says
NCCIH says research does not clearly support cinnamon for any health condition. Diabetes studies have produced conflicting results, and many trials differ in cinnamon species, formulation, dose, and quality.
Evidence strength
Norene’s Farmacy rating for diabetes-related claims: MIXED / INCONCLUSIVE HUMAN EVIDENCE.
