Boswellia serrata: Osteoarthritis Evidence & Safety
Boswellia is often sold for “inflammation,” but the human research is narrower than that marketing language.
What the evidence says
NCCIH reports that several studies suggest oral Boswellia serrata may reduce osteoarthritis pain and inflammation. The studies are generally small and low quality, and there is not enough high-quality evidence to conclude that boswellia is useful for any health condition.
